Same here - a bunch of boats decided to give up for the season and hauled out over the weekend. We are 'around the corner' at the marina in a sheltered area (same place as we endured Isabel and Irene) and double tied to everything with long lines and tall pilings (many of which were replaced - taller - after Isabel). Hope for the best - now to make sure the basement is taken care of.

Just read the NOAA forecast and areas south of her will see a 4 to 8ft surge while areas north of her will see 6 to 11 ft surge which seems pointed toward NYC and Long Island Sound. Sailflow.com showed her making landfall near Barnegat Light on Tuesday. Everything is battened down at home. Headed out now to add another dockline across an empty slip and fill gas cans for the home generator. Think we've made all the preparations we can? I'll wait to watch the news tonight.
