Re: Tacktick instruments Fred, I installed the "cruising" version of these on a C&C 33 at Bluffers Park YC and learned a fair amount. - Be really sure to test the instruments in the cabin within a couple of feet of each other. We didn't and discovered their solution to any signal problems are to deinstall the masthead wind vane. Best to read and follow the instructions very carefully. - The wireless signal is quite weak. We discovered that any mass (metallic) between the readouts on the bulkhead and the radio receiver in the cabin will cause the signal to be lost. At one point we had to move a backup battery off the counter top just to get a wind reading. Other than these issues, they work quite well.
