So far no big deal. The boat bounced a few inches, and naturally the
radio went wild. It will be interesting to see the long term effects on
concrete around here, as there are no building codes and a lot of
concrete is mixed with too much sand to stretch it out, and tends to
fall apart after a few years without any seismic help.
Miriam hit a patch of cold water and is disintegrating rapidly, but we
got some rain and welcome cloud cover. 24 hours ago it was forecast to
make landfall (as a storm) about 400 miles north, and I was really
looking forward to some rain for the next couple of days, but it looks
like it's going to stall and fizzle.
