That's interesting. I just had my Yanmar 3QM rebuilt by the best shop in town. I bought and supplied the parts. Parts included 3 cylinder sleeves, pistons and rings, bearings, exhaust valves, all gaskets etc. : parts $1800, labour $1750 including 4 new mounts at $65 each. I did all the R&R labour. Total all in cost I anticipate will be under $5K. I was offered a Beta marine engine of slightly less horsepower at significantly more.
