The Admiral and I are trying to put together a trip to the rendezvous in Mystic
followed by a week long trip to the Maine coast. We are just beginning to
develop the skeleton of the trip.
I'd appreciate any info on the Maine coast between Portland and Bar Harbor.
Our main goal is to get a feel for the coast and the towns along the way. Any
recommendations regarding the following wish list would be wonderful.
B&B's in Camden
Quaint inns/hotels in Bar Harbor or surrounding area
One or two lighthouses that we can drive to and that are open for touring
Lobster houses (we're willing to pay tourist price for the view, local
atmosphere, etc.)
A neat clam shack
B&B's in other areas
Any "must see" things (LL Bean's outlet store is already on our list)
