Pete Just a suggestion: I would also try taking a look in whatever local or online advertising services (Craig's List, Ebay or whatever) are available in your geographic comfort zone. People buy them and they never get used and soon they are up for sale. You may be able to purchase a not very used, but previously owned one for less than the cost of a rental.
