Subject: Linux – Back to some basics

Introduction to Linux, Beginner Stages of Linux Usage

Thanks Liam for your suggestion you posted on the list.

Linux Boot Process,
File System Hierarchy,
Installing Linux through USB/CD,
Basic Command Line,
package management using yum or apt-get etc,
Basic Trouble Shooting, etc.,
basic security,
dual booting from windows to linux,
basic shell scripting.
A good starting point to expand from.

Please Note: To comply with the terms of use we signed for room booking
with CPL, any lessons given by CLUG at the Central Library will be
given at no charge to the attendees.

Other possibilities can be discussed at the meeting in regards to other
suggested venues.

This is an exiting opportunity to build on ideas to make Linux the easy
to use tool for sane computing.
