I always like to follow-up after asking for advice. mid December 2016, we couldn't get ssh allowed on the house LAN.
Today we got a new router and a few minutes later, everything is working. Turns out the old router didn't HAVE a port forwarding panel. Whodah thunk??? Thanks to all that offered advice. Best, Chris Aziz Hey Guys, We want to allow my Linux Mint desktop to be the ssh server on landlord's Shaw internet spent 30 minutes with landlord's son and could not find the right tab to enable ssh service How does one make it so with Shaw?
