Hello all,

I am relatively new to Calgary and saw CLUG just recently (end of last year). I was excited because I looked for contacts in that direction. I was disappointed when I found our website: no updates for a long time. So I joined this mail list and read something like 'this club is dying' which I do not hope! Is the group missing ideas of what to talk about? Ask your members (BTW: how many are we?). Exactly that happened at an AGM in another group I am a member of. Guess what: Ideas of ideas were shouted to the execs, it was awesome. Can our execs organize some speakers with interesting topics, probably new developments? One idea: Ubuntu on Win10 - does it really work (just my two cents). And my last point: clean up internal stuff _internal_, not on this mailing list, but do it. The question of bringing <no matter what> up to date is no question at all. I would love to join and meet this group physically because Linux is fun! And problems to solve is way easier in a group (I prefer a 'real' meeting).

Just my two cents. Keep up your work!
Frank

Fun? It can be if we make so.

Important issues?:
All positions are likely open and that includes treasurer. I get the
impression one person, the treasurer, does not put handing over the
books to us as that important. But he did promise to do it a long time
ago (years).

That has not been working out.

Now all lurkers, long and new time list members...
Lets talk, or not. It's up to you!

    Hello everyone.

This list (clug-talk) has appeared (to me) to be mute about what CLUG
wants to be at this time.
Not past, not future, but now.

I will respond to interest in this subject, but only to see where you
want to be as a club.

So do not wait for me, it's your move.

My membership card has expired but am waiting on you before or if I
    think of renewing.

    Best regards,

    Mel
