What filesystem and on what block device? It would help to post an 'lsblk' 
output from both environments and indicate the filesystem having issues.

Those issues are usually signs of a failing hardware. The kernel should provide 
some info -- do the system log show (dmesg, /var/log/{messages,syslog}, 
journalctl) any errors?
