My Android Galaxy Nexus phone running 4.2.1 would mount under
DISTRIB_ID=LinuxMint
DISTRIB_RELEASE=15
DISTRIB_CODENAME=olivia
DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Linux Mint 15 Olivia"
NAME="Ubuntu"
VERSION="13.04, Raring Ringtail"

but now with
DISTRIB_ID=LinuxMint
DISTRIB_RELEASE=17.1
DISTRIB_CODENAME=rebecca
DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Linux Mint 17.1 Rebecca"
NAME="Ubuntu"
VERSION="14.04.1 LTS, Trusty Tahr"

it clunks.

# installed (and current)
apt-get install mtpfs
apt-get install mtp-tools

 go-mtpfs is no longer available

farthest I got is getting it to show as a ptp camera device but would not mount
**** today it won't do anything. Do not understand why.
using the same USB cable it mounts on my Windows 7 laptop (I copied files off
yesterday)

right now it does nothing. can't even get half results shown below
really don't get what my malfunction is

Frustrated and confused.

Below is listing from various mtp-detect and lsusb tries
last week when it did respond partially.
