Hello all, I did not attend the last meeting because of health problems.
However, I am a tier two member until 2014 August and would like to attend regular monthly meetings as well as a general meeting to help vote for the executives. My brother Mel said that some organizations do not allow secretaries to write up on a minutes from a dictaphone, and found that my senior's club does not allow the use of dictaphones at meetings either. Since I can not write fast enough I do not feel qualified to be a secretary.Even if CLUG were to allow dictaphones, I have forgotten how to manipulate the dictaphone I have. However, I am willing to help elect people who are qualified for each position. I have contacted Winson Duong and he said that he wants to step down from the position of secretary. I asked him to attend the next meeting to confirm that. CLUG has encouraged me to try some neat applications like Kalzium,Avogadro, sweethome, and Inkscape, and for that reason, I would like to see CLUG flourish. Since my tier two membership is good until August, the next meeting I plan to attend is the monthly meeting on 2014 May 7. I looked at the CLUG web site, and there does not seem to be a general meeting before May. See you all on May 7.
