A thought/suggestion:

I once built a Slackware system that could only be booted if a USB stick
with a key was present. Since then I have also used flash drives to keep
GPG encrypted keys for accessing LVM + dm_crypt drives, a kind of single
access method that endeavors to find the proper balance between security
and usability.

Any experts out there on the use of removable media (flash drives) to
control access to a system, resources and media?
