Fedora 14 can be upgraded to 17 but not 19. Fedora 18 received a new upgrade script (appropriately called "fedup") that upgrades Fedora 17 or newer.
The upgrade from 14 to 17 should work if you have at least 500 mb in the /boot partition. If you prefer to use versions as old as 17 and update every couple of years, I suggest using CentOS or Scientific Linux instead. Anand.
