I have a laptop with Windows 7 installed and would like to install Linux with
it. I have the following partitions:
15G recovery partition
100M system partition
625G C:
All these are ntfs filesystems and primary partitions

>From what I understand I need to shrink the C: and install Linux in extra
>space. Do I need to do anything with the other partitions? Is there anything I
>need to do to prepare for this? I have dual booted with Linux and XP, but not
>with any other Windows. I have downloaded SystemRescueCd from
>http://www.sysresccd.org/
