There was a meeting, though be it poorly attended (5 people?)
Yes there was a clug-talk silence on my part Aug 7 but it was not
intentional. I was not able to respond to emails for purely technical
reasons (away from home workstation and setup of cell phone on my new
plan). Plus super busy right up to meeting.
I did however manage to put up the events page on our site. clug.ca
Note:
Kali Linux 1.0.3 is still available as a topic of interest because I
ended up not having the USB stick with me at the meeting.
I was determined to have the meeting for the VERY few who responded, but
concerned about the general lack of email response. It gave me the
impression (false?) that there may be little interest.
If you want a meeting it should be possible to carry on even if I am not
able to show. Contact me as to how you can do this.
Kin says there appears to be smaller rooms available and larger rooms
avail later.
We can make this happen (if you would like it to). Wed Sept 4, 2013 next
meeting?
Please make your thoughts known. Even if it's hay what ya think?

I wouldn’t mind learning more Kali Linux, or at least
some of the tools
that come packaged with it.
I downloaded the ISO (it's a live boot/install) and live
booted to
virtualbox, Then did an install to virtualbox on my
workstation.
I will dd it over to a USB stick and bring it, plus the
ISO file for any
who want it.
If we want to try out some of the exotic tools I will
bring a hub/switch
to not expose our hosts LAN to any suspicious looking
packets.
