I'm sure there are reputable dealers on EBay, but there are fake cards
too.  There are a few things you get for spending the extra money:
1) You save any associated shipping costs
2) You can (usually) take it back if it doesn't work
3) You get it now, not when Canada Post gets around to it

I've done both - until EBay clamps down on the fakers I'll buy mine from
ME if I need it now or TigerDirect if I can wait a few days.

EBay is great for everything else I get there - just a bit shady for
flash cards.
