Could not agree more, RedHat had their reasons and they still retain a
lot of integrity. Yet why did some have to go some extra effort to
puzzle it out and did affect them enough to be much of a bother to them
greatly? 
I admit, I have not done the kernel work like you have, so I am not up
on it. Could read the article more deeply (look it up myself) but that
can not happen soon.
