Hi list,

I'm trying to rip the audio from a dvd I recorded. I found an article
online suggesting that "transcode" could easily do this
(http://www.ubuntugeek.com/how-to-rip-dvd-audio-to-mp3-or-ogg.html) , so I
installed it on a kubuntu 8.10 system and have been trying to make it work.
The DVD is a series of 1 hour shows with 10 minute chapters recorded on a
Pioneer DVR. No matter what I do the audio extract stops after 6m15s
instead of the 10m chapter length. I also tried it on a 2 hour chapter and
it stops after 1h25m. Has anybody seen this before or been successful in
using transcode for this type of project?

I've tried both physical systems and VM machines - same result. The dvd
plays fine in dragon player.

Command was something like:

transcode -i /media/dcrom0 -x dvd -T 1,1,1 -a 0 -y raw -m track1.mp3 >
transcode.txt 2>&1

Output is:

transcode v1.0.2 (C) 2001-2003 Thomas Oestreich, 2003-2004 T. Bitterberg

Chapter 1 should go for 10m but transcode stops at 6m15s point.

Any ideas welcome.
