Hi Gang,
I am trying to help a Linux newbie get his Roger's Mobile Rocket Stick
working on his EeePC 901.
The stick is a Novatel Wireless MC950D & it is supported by Linux. I
have been checking through a number of sites that all say that what they
try works.
According to Novatel's site
(http://www.novatelwireless.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=176&Itemid=331)
the card needs to be activated on a Windows machine...which it has...and
when i get to the modprobe section ("sudo modprobe usbserial
vendor=0x1410 product=0x[prodID]") I get an error about the usbserial
not being correct (or something like that..I can't recall error at the
moment) & something about checking dmesg...which I did & found a
reference to the vendor not being correct...
Sorry for my lack of details at this point..I have banging my head on
this all day & haven't been able to figure it out yet. I found a few
moe things to try....but I am hoping someone out there may have had some
luck with this already.
