Unfortunately I don't get to the meetings too much since I'm out of town...I've only ever managed to get to one meeting so far at that was still at SAIT. > you can borrow the Rosegarden book > that I have. Is it the same as the online version: http://www.rosegardenmusic.com/tutorials/en/chapter-0.html (I've managed to get to chapter four in that). >>> When >>> you get your external device, it should have a midi port, you will want >>> to use this one when the time comes. Regarding synchronization...I borrowed a FastTrack Pro from a friend (and finally managed to figure out how to get it working in jack...the FastTrack still didn't show up under "interface" but then I clicked on the ">" symbol and saw the FTP in that list). I connected a Roland Juno-D to my laptop using my UM-1ex USB-MIDI interface (since I don't have any midi cables with me at the moment) and did some MIDI recording with Rosegarden connected to qsynth. I didn't seem to have any synchronization issues with the audio output and the new tracks I was recording... Is there are particular case where synchronization is more of an issue than in what I was doing? Thanks. _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [email protected] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca Mailing List Guidelines (http://clug.ca/ml_guidelines.php) **Please remove these lines when replying
