Just to put some more perspective on this. 1) I believe that there are 32764 'faulty keys', if you generated a key with an affective system your key pair WILL be one of these.
2) If you permit someone else to log into your system (whether it is Debian/Ubuntu or not) using one of these keys then it is vunerable. So everyone (include users/admins of non-debian systems) should check for the presence of these keys. All of these keys are available in the black hat community.
