Under Mozilla, there is also Lightning which works with Thunderbird or 
Sunbird as a stand alone for calendaring.  The link is

Consider also VideoLAN - GNU software that plays multimedia files - 
their site is http://www.videolan.org/.  It is also cross platform and 
has the codec localized (particularly helpful for windoze in keeping the 
system clean).
