Greetings to you Tom. I just downloaded BitTorrent and giving it a try.
It's downloading at 580KB/S right now and it says it will be done in about 1 hour.
Thanks for the response.
Regards,
Rafael.

Subject: Re: [clug-talk] Fedora Core 5 download!Greetings Rafael,
Hi Folks,
Is anybody having difficulties getting a good copy of FC5 DVD/CDs? I've
downloaded from different mirrors from Canada and the US and every time I do
an md5sum, I get different numbers. The download is no good. I've tried both
the dvds and the cds, and similar issues. I have tried downloading to
Windows computers, to Linux, same results.
I did realized something was wrong my media because when I did a check media
at the time of the installation it did not pass. Other times it's been that
I've been able to install but I was getting all kinds of errors after the
install.
It could be a combination of issues perhaps, but I thought I'd start by
asking if anybody here has had any challenges with the md5sums of the isos.
BTW, what's your favorite mirror for downloading.
ftp://ftp.muug.mb.ca/pub/fedora/linux/core/ and
ftp://ftp.telus.net/pub/fedora/linux/core/ have been good to me. I tried the
UofC today, slowwww as malassas... 20-30k/s.
Regards,
Rafael.
Have you tried bittorrent? I d/l'd the dvd when it was released with no problem. I can burn you a copy for next meeeting, if al else fails.
