That's exactly the intent of the events mailing list. To remove conversation specific to event planning off the clug-talk list. The exec already has a mailing list just for them - clug-admin - so they can discuss/plan the group activities/issues amongst themselves. The events list arose after it was apparent we were getting too many specialized lists for specific events - workshops, LPI, etc. It's supposed to cover ALL the event type topics, but is open to all members who want to take part in planning these events. Of course, the current exec is free to change things.
