And why would I ever want my private email stored on a corporate server that is at the whims of the US government to grab whenever they want? (the US has already used legal measures to access Google's data) Nevermind that any mail I had when I was an employee with an employee email account was actually the property of the company, and management could legally look at it any time they wanted. Ethically, this is a grey area, and rarely done, but the possibility is there. No, I'd rather continue with my own email server, that I control. My mail is even accessible if I'm not on the local network, so the agruments for a gmail account don't apply in this case. You can't expect everyone to use the same tools, and have to accomodate this in some ways. Like stripping out long text blocks that aren't used - especially when bottom posting.
