Hello All, Since I noticed that when ALSA shuts down the microphone stops working, I presume that Skype help was right that the microphone does not work in Skype because Skype does not support ALSA drives natively and I need to emulate OSS.
So as root I did a modprobe snd-pcm-oss and got no error messages. I also did a modprobe snd-mixer-oss and got no error messages. But I still could not get either Skype echo123 or Audacity to work with the mic to record my voice, even though I can hear myself in my head set. Any suggestions on how to configure skype? Audacity configuration would be nice to.
