Hi All, First, my thanks to all of you who have expressed your confidence in me and encouraged me to run for the position of President. Having been involved with CLUG for a few years now I have come to know many of you personally and have enjoyed the comradeship and the chances I've had to pick your brains when I needed help.
All members of the Executive have worked long and hard to bring CLUG to where it is today. Having said that I believe that it's to CLUG's benefit to have some continuity going into the new year and believe that I can bring that continuity as well as new vision to the group. Having said that, I gladly accept the nomination for President of our Linux User's Group. You will be a tough act to follow. And, on that note, I would like to nominate Dave Watkins for president. I think the past year's experience as vice president will stand him well ... he should have first hand knowledge of what what he is in for if accepts the nomination to move in to 24 Sussex!
