Since around 2001 I have been maintaining news releases from around the world on Linux, open-source, wireless, VoIP, home automation and other technologies. I have also been maintaining a growing list of open-source and software links and these two sections (News and Links) have continued to grow in popularity and generate around 125,000 hits and 3000 unique visitors a month. So I have now moved and will continue to maintain news and links at a faster rate, and on a new site call Open Source News (www.opensourcenews.ca). At some time in the future I may hire someone to maintain and populate the site but for now I can only rely on the support of other interested persons. The site is also a useful resource for anyone doing research on open source, Linux and other technologies and currently holds around 2500 articles.
Yes I also know about and read daily from LinuxToday, Sourceforge etc etc, and so I dont know how much additional "value" this site will provide. I can only go by the traffic which has grown steadily. If anyone wants to help improve the value of this site please sign up and contribute. I would also love to hear of any suggestions or comments.
