Don't mean to disturb anyone's 'quiet' w/e, but I could sure use some help.
I realize it is kind of OT...
I need to, in earnest, have the ability to transfer files from 'here' to across
the globe. Short of not currently having a linux server (I am working on
it...), I have installed IIS and FTP server on a Win 2003 server which sits
behind a dlink router. Now the question is how to get it to work. I can create
a 'shared' directory - call it 'public' and give it everyone read permissions,
copy the files in there.
What ports to open/close on the dlink? How to do that? How to test the ftp?
My apologies for these newbie type Q's.

tia,

Dharam
