linux ;)

both xine and mplayer (and therefore the respective front ends, such as 
kaffeine and kmplayer) can play them if they were built with the right 
codecs. it really depends on which distribution you are using as to whether 
or not this works "out of the box". e.g. Linspire licenses and ships the 
codecs (and i've heard tell of a similar deal having been made by a certain 
green lizard) and gentoo allows you to emerge the codecs. if you wish to do 
it by hand, go to mplayerhq.hu and download the "all codecs" package; through 
all the dll's into /usr/lib/win32 and build mplayer or xine from source.
