sponsor discounts aren't all that compelling, IMO, as it makes CLUG seem like 
a shopping club =P compelling would be using funds to do cool stuff with and 
for the group. becoming a society was cool. now what? =)

perhaps a contribution based system would work now. membership fee based user 
groups are quite common, though.

so when and where? i'd colunteer my place but i have no room in the new digs.
