I use it. I wouldn't say I notice a huge speed boost, but I haven't noticed any
increased restrictions.
I've had a Shaw tech tell me that they cannot even calculate accurate bandwidth usage on users that have the newest type of modem (the name eludes me right now), no matter which cable internet package is used.
