Hey Niels;

Sorry about that it is probably confusing. We will endeavour to have all of
the Executive Minutes on the website around the time of the AGM.

So now to answer your very valid question. Jeff was still occasionally
involved in meetings and had not been removed from the clug-admin mailing list
until sometime in November 2004.

You are correct that I did leave the title on there in the August minutes. For
the 2004 term up until approximately November Jeff was invited to the Executive
meetings should he want to attend.

However, for the 2003 and 2004 term - the position of Past President was an
honorary title and was available to Jeff, Aaron and now Jarrod too.

The Past President has been an honorary position up to this point with the
input and level of activity being up to that Past President. Furthermore I
believe that unless a Presidential candidate is aware of the requirement of 1
year term as Past President (requiring their attendance at Executive meetings)
prior to their running for the position it would be unfair to require that
extended term.

Niels, the idea of Past President is used as an Executive position in many
societies and Boards. if you believe that the Past President should be an
official term of the Executive following any term as a President then it should
be amended in the bylaws and therefore would have to be voted on at the AGM.

To some extent it will be left up to the new executive

Cheers
Kari
