I love my LiteOn, and my LG CD Burner worked great too. Make sure you get a +/- rather than just a + or just a -. The standard isn't really set yet, so having the option is a good thing.
They'll all work in Linux. No need to worry. I'm not sure about RH (or FC), but in Gentoo install was simple. Kev.
