Thanks Mike...  Whoda thunk that QT would be installed when it has a 
dependancy on X, but X was explicitly not asked for...  I can understand 
how/why this might happen, but it's a little odd when one doesn't know what 
package has what dependancies...

Yep, taking out QT solved the problem..  Thanks again.
