I would rather that people did not send this kind of inflammatory remark to the clug-talk list. Yes, the irony of the situation is there but this doesn't serve any purpose besides belittling Andrew. This is a self-moderated list and for the most part people on it are respectful of each other and any poking is usually done in fun. While we are on the topic of moderation I thought a reminder of this mailing list's etiquette would be a good idea too. I like to think the Linux users don't have to feel good about themselves and the OS or software they use by defaming Microsoft. We all have our reasons for running Linux. I have said it in the past and I will repeat it now for those folks that are relatively new. Please refrain from referring to Microsoft in any cute derogatory fashion (ie M----shaft) or Windows as W--bloze. It makes us look bad because we go for the cheap shots instead of lauding the merits of Linux and FLOSS. This list is publicly archived and anyone can read our posts. I would rather they not read through and see someone ranting about how bad MS is or why they hate them or about how bad their software is. I like to think we are above that. Those of us that used (or are using) Windows and its associated software have undoubtedly had to deal with our share of frustration but ranting about it on this list is not appropriate. Thank-you for your cooperation in this matter.
