As I mentioned. I would be interested in going a presentation on using UML (User Mode Linux) to run multiple virtual servers in the August (or maybe July) meeting.
For those who haven't come across UML. Basically it allows you to run a Linux kernel under Linux which allows you to run Linux instances within Linux (very similar idea / benefits to the vmware presentation last night). It provides a very cool way to run multiple services on one physical machine without worrying how they will interact with each other and making it very easy to move a machine image to another machine. It's really slick because these virtual machines can share the hosts network interface allowing them to connect directly to a real network. I'd like to demo setting up and running a small virtual network. Would this be of interest to anyone? -- Jeff Clement http://jclement.ca _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca
