i agree with virtually everything you said except this. i don't agree with this point at all. as for the rest of the valid issues you very rightly point out, 12 months from now things will look very different. we're about to konquer, er, conquer the groupware problems, CRM is simply a matter of time (we're very close to the point where CRM plugins for something like Kontact would be a matter of <1000 person hours of devel time, which is ~.5 years for one person) and with the concerted push of IBM/Novell/OSDL/RedHat/etc the more intractible problems (Reuters) will also fall. getting the hospitals, bank tellers, schools, etc on desktop Linux sooner rather than later will also help the push ... - -- Aaron J.
