I know this is not really a career move, but you had to get away from the numerous local lovers, you've been rumored to have :)
Seriously, this job sounds like an excellent opportunity, and I know you'll be a star up there. Here at CLUG, we'll always be able to say, that we knew you before you became famous! I hope you'll stay on the mailing list, since your comments are always valuable, and it is such a nice way to stay in touch.

I just found out this week, that I won a job competition in Edmonton which I recently applied for. My transition to Edmonton will likely occur within the next couple of weeks. It's an excellent move for me professionally (Applications Management Coordinator for IMAS/AHRE) and I'm quite excited about it.
My heart would like to stay involved as Vice President on CLUG's board, but I'm afraid that it would not serve CLUG's interests and membership very well. I've looked at the possibilities, but consistently feel that it is CLUG that would likely suffer in the end, and I don't want to see that happen.
