Background: I used to use Evolution as my mail client, now I am happily migrated to KMail/Kontact.
Issue: Evolution's background processes (evolution-alarm, evolution-womba and dependencies: (I believe) gconfd-2 and bonobo-activation) are starting when I run KDE. Since I no longer use Evolution, I no longer have a need for these processes to be running. Question: Why, oh why is kdeinit launching these processes? And furthermore, where, oh where might I configure kdeinit to cease this behaviour? Funny thing is, when I use Blackbox as my window manager, these processes do not get fired up. So it would appear that kdeinit is launching them. I did some Googling but didn't come up with any specific pointers. I was hoping some of the more KDE-savvy list members might know off-hand. ;-) Thanks, Curtis _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca
