maybe not open source per se, but the tools involved are mainstream (and
therefore a little expensive) for opensource environments (i.e. Linux) as
well as non-opensource. So if a developer can find an trial/evaluation/free
version to work with, they may be able to learn some new skills or tools
that will make them either more productive, or marketable.

I put the link up in case anyone was interested.  I know I wouldn't be where
I am today if it wasn't for this type of thing (thinking specifically of
Cold Fusion server).

My thoughts...
