Mike,

CloudStack 4.x supports CLVM for KVM hypervisors. The fact your colleague isn't
seeing the CLVM option in the drop down (alongside NFS and Shared Mount Point)
leads me to believe they're using an older release.
We use CLVM to present both ISCSI and FC storage to Cloudstack.

Subject: KVM and iSCSI

Hi everyone,

I don't have any CloudStack experience yet with using KVM and iSCSI. I had
a question come in today that I thought I could pass onto the community for
answers.

Thanks!!

When adding KVM-based hypervisors to CloudStack I have 2 options for
primary storage; Shared Mount Point, and NFS. I cannot add iscsi primary
storage to KVM hosts. Has anyone on your team worked with this scenario
before as it pertains to CloudStack and KVM? I was thinking I could use
something like Clustered LVM (CLVM) or GFS2, or OCFS2 to present the
storage from SolidFire to CloudStack, and have iSCSI on the backend. Any
thoughts on this?
