angeline shen commented on CLOUDSTACK-1352:
-------------------------------------------
Animesh, Fang, Edison:
This bug is result of testing ASF 4.1 KVM 6.3 snapshot feature. Testing is
performed with KVM hosts installed with latest RPMs
Which supports KVM 6.3 snapshot:
qemu-img-0.12.1.2-3.295.el6.10.x86_64.rpm
qemu-kvm-0.12.1.2-3.295.el6.10.x86_64.rpm
I can create snapshots for ROOT and DATA volumes.
This use case is regarding taking snapshot of DATA volume while snapshot of
ROOT volume is ongoing at same time.
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CLOUDSTACK-1353 scheduled snapshot
policies are NOT working is another ASF 4.1 issue.
Let me know if I am mistaken.
Thanks.

> 1. advance zone. VPC : VPC network: create VMs
> 2. while snapshot of ROOT volume is being taken, take snapshot of DATA
> volume
> Result: Error dialog:
> There is other active snapshot tasks on the instance to which the volume is
> attached, please try again later
> snapshot of data volume remains in Creating state but is deletable.
> This behavior is different than Cloudplatform where snapshot of ROOT volume
> and DATA volume can be
> taken simultaneously.
