Thanks for the info, Marcus. I just verified that I can connect to (and write to/read from) my iSCSI target (which is served from an Ubuntu VM) from Mac OS X. I supposed I will need to do the same thing from Xen and then, as you say, maybe that will help expose the underlying problem.
