Hari - I am guessing that this would be available to admins as well as regular 
users (we show only events to users)

I am digressing a bit here, but would it be possible to selectively suppress 
alerts in a zone - say admin is carrying maintenance or something terrible has 
happened for that zone ?

Also can we alert the user in case the vm crashes ? Currently we alert only the 
admins.
