How to avoid updating /etc/resolve.conf
in RHEL/CentOS,
adding PEERDNS=no in ifcfg-ethx
in ubuntu
setting supersede domain-name in /etc/dhclient.conf
in Windows
hostname cannot be set by DHCP due to the protocol of microsoft, (verified on
windows 2003), while domain name/dns server can be successfully set on each NIC.
Observed different behaviors in windows and linux, not sure if it's the correct
way to impose one domainName/searchDomain to all VM's nics; can we mark it as a
known issue and leave it to end users to set prefered domain name?
