Yes, the formal ASF CS release, will not include VMware, also no f5, netscaler,netapp. Focus test on xenserver and KVM test at first. If QA team has enough resource to test VMware, we can build another package which includes VMware, as anyway, we need to make sure VMware code is not broken in the 4.0 release.
Rohit, if you don't have blocker bugs, could you help to take a look at how to build VMware and other proprietary components? Currently, ant build-all will not build these components, also component.xml will not load these components. May need to add another option "-Dnonoss"on "build-all" to build VMware, and another component-nonoss.xml to load VMware related class.
