I am working on a new project, which tries to make cloudstack development easier: basically, VirtualBox + Ubuntu 12.04 image with (Cloudstack + XCP pre-installed), users or developers can uses/develop cloudstack on mainstream OSes(Windows/Mac OS/Linux) without extra physical machines as hypervisor host.
