Hi Ikuru, did you install VS code from your package manager and install the code-oss package?
I ask because when I first installed VS code on Solus Linux I used the one from the package manager which was the "code-oss package". Unfortunately I found out later that extensions are not supported in the code-oss version. I had to download the .tar.gz version of VS Code package directly (https://code.visualstudio.com/download), install manually, then extensions worked great.
